There are tens of thousands families in Budapest who live below the poverty line. This means less than $110 income a month per person. Home sweet home is not something they feel when they look around in the room that they often share with 3-4 family members. Last year one of our volunteers in HOPE Worldwide Hungary suggested that we could make a difference by creating a different environment in the homes of these families. Every Saturday 5-10 volunteers would go over to this family and start to work on their home, fixing anything that we can improve with a low budget. We have finished the renovation of six apartments bringing hope and home into the lives of six needy families. We are grateful to God to provide help and hope for these families through our effort.
